Sami Malcolm Abdalla
Sami Malcolm Abdalla started playing tennis at the age of 13. He first learned how to play tennis in Saudi Arabia where he participated in many tournaments. When he started playing in Canada, he joined ORIZE as a player because of the friendly tennis environment that the club offered.
He participated in many tournaments and is still trying to someday become one of the top players in Quebec. At the age of 16 Sami decided to start coaching in order to teach other kids the fun of tennis. After acquiring his instructor certificate from the Quebec Tennis Association, he gained his experience by coaching: private lessons, summer tennis camps, and group lessons. He wishes to someday acquire both Pro Club 1 and Pro Club 2 certificates allowing him to coach higher level club players.
Sami is very energetic and dynamic on the courts and loves teaching the amazing game of tennis to future champions. He also loves playing almost every sport particularly soccer. Sami valorises hard work, team work, and positive thinking!
Ricky Twynam
Ricky Twynam starting playing sports at the age of 4. At 13 years old, after excelling in baseball and basket-ball, Ricky began to play tennis. His uncle and coach, Alex Shields initiated Ricky to the game that has now become his passion. He competed at the provincial and national level and was ranked in the Canadian top 5, in the category 18 years and under. Then began his professional journey.
Ricky Twynam has traveled far and wide from Canada, starting in Europe where he got his first taste of professional level tennis. He had the opportunity to train with the world’s best; The Spaniards. Their philosophy to training was something he had never seen before. The intensity, work ethic and “never quit” attitude were what made them one of the world’s most dominant forces. Still today, they represent a great source of inspiration for Ricky’s coaching. Ricky also trained at the Bill Adams’s tennis academy in Florida, which was his home base during the years he competed.
He trained and competed with players such as Marat Safin, Igor Andreev, Dinara Safina, Frank Dancevic and David Ferrer, to name only a few.. He has competed across the United States, South America, Central America, the Caribbeans and Europe in both doubles and singles, accumulating ATP points. After gaining knowledge and experience from many renowned professionals, Ricky returned to Canada with a new dream: helping our young Canadian athletes develop and evolve as athletes, and as individuals. Ricky now shares his passion for sport and the game of tennis with students from all backgrounds, always aiming at helping them finding the best within themselves.
No matter if you are 5, 20 or 50 years old, or if you want to become a top professional tennis player or just play for fun, after a lesson with Ricky, you may find his coaching style is straight to the point, unique and is one that really gets through you and help you improve your game. Warning: There is a risk you may catch his contagious passion.
Guillaume Jacob
Guillaume has been playing tennis since the age of 12. Not a single day goes by without him thinking about it. He has found a true passion for the sport. He is always eager to learn more and likes to transmit his passion to others. He has been teaching for almost three years, giving private and group lessons for juniors and adults in regular, advanced and elite programs. He also helped in managing provincial tournaments. Guillaume is certified by Tennis Canada as a Tennis Instructor as well as a Wheelchair Instructor. Guillaume plans to further develop his teaching skills by completing additional certification programs: Club Pro 1, etc. He is now working in collaboration with Parasport Québec and hopes to improve wheelchair tennis in Québec. Guillaume believes motivation, dedication and hard work are the keys to one’s success.
